This saying is based on the fact that a gun is a machine that don't have a "will".<br />What qualifies a machine to be having "will"?<br />Self-awareness is one necessary condition for having a will.<br /><br />*Does a virus have self-awareness / will?<br /> ............ cell .......................................................<br />..............an ant/bee ..........................................<br />...............a nest of ant/bee ...............................<br />...............a bird ..................................................<br />...............a cat ....................................................<br />...............a monkey / primate .........................<br /><br />*What does it mean if a robot writes/generates diaries? Many software systems such as OS have event logs. Is that a diary? Probabily not.
